Flat Racing
The Thoroughbred division of the OG Jockey Club.
About Flat Racing
Flat Racing is the club's classic Thoroughbred racing division, racing on both dirt & turf, progressing through the ranks in both our Juvenile (2 year old) races on up through our Open Maiden, Allowance, and graded stakes classes.
Horses earn points through their race results, while selected races may also be designated as part of the Road to the Kentucky Derby. Those races fuel the separate Derby and Oaks point standings. The top 15 horses will have a shot at the Derby (with fillies having the choice to rfun either the Oaks or the Derby).
Seasonal standings reset with each calendar year while overall standings preserve the complete career record.
